Cracked, Discolored Teeth? We Want To Bond With You

July 25, 2023

When our prosthodontist at Deegan Dental recommends a bonding procedure, don’t get the wrong impression! Although we feel we create a unique “bond” with our patients, we’re talking about something that isn’t exactly about forming a friendship, although it is indeed tooth-friendly!

Bonding is a simple, painless process that our prosthodontist applies to a tooth or teeth for an array of functional and cosmetic reasons. Bonding can be useful in repairing cracked teeth, filling cavities or gaps between the teeth, changing the shape of teeth, protecting an exposed root or improving the color of teeth that have become discolored.

The thirty- to sixty-minute process per tooth involves applying composite materials that match your tooth color directly to the tooth. Anesthesia is usually not required. We mold this material into the proper shape, allow it to set, and then smooth and polish the material, giving it a natural appearance that looks great and is comfortable when chewing and speaking.

Our prosthodontist and staff have years of experience administering the bonding process, and our patients can be assured of attentive care and comfort as we restore the luster of your smile and the function of your bite. Our practice uses the latest materials and techniques geared toward achieving optimal results. We’ll explain every step of the procedure, answer all of your questions and concerns beforehand, and educate you on how to care for your newly bonded teeth in the days ahead.

There’s no reason to continue hiding discolored or damaged teeth, or to live with gapped or damaged teeth that are eating into your ability to enjoy the benefits of optimal oral health. This simple, pain-free procedure performed by our expertly trained specialist at Deegan Dental has achieved life-changing results for many of our patients. Please contact us today for a consultation to determine whether bonding is right for you!
