Custom DENTURES: Can you eat comfortably with your dentures? Do you have a pleasing, natural looking smile that flatters you? What makes Dr. Deegan’s Custom Dentures so much better than most others? She is an expert with over 30 years of experience in custom designing and fitting anatomically correct dentures of the highest standard. There are techniques to measure the ideal jaw position so that your bite feels even and dentures are stable. The teeth are set individually and adjusted with your approval to achieve your ideal look and nicely support your lips and facial features. Dr. Deegan uses excellent labs in the USA and the best available materials, so your teeth will last and look beautiful years from now.
UPPER vs. LOWER DENTURES: Upper dentures can be made to have suction. Most people can wear them successfully. A small percentage of people have a very strong gag reflex which does not allow them to wear a full upper denture which covers the palate. Implants with Locator snaps can retain and denture without a palate.
Lower dentures are less stable and retentive than upper dentures. More people have problems wearing lower dentures. Implants can help stabilize and retain a problematic lower denture.
IMPLANTS and DENTURES: A few strategically placed implants with snaps fabricated into the denture can help retain a problem denture. You can finally be rid of sticky denture paste or the need to cover the palate for denture retention, and be able to chew better and feel confident.
IMMEDIATE DENTURES: Don’t be worried that you’ll have to go toothless before you can have a denture made. An Immediate Denture can be made ahead of time, so on the day you have your last “bad teeth” extracted, you will leave the office with your new immediate denture in place. You never have to go without teeth. When the gums are fully healed in a few months, the dentures can either be relined to fit perfectly, or new Custom Dentures can be made to give you the perfect smile that you want.
REMOVABLE PARTIAL DENTURES: usually consist of replacement teeth attached to gum-colored plastic bases. Depending on your needs, Dr. Deegan will design a partial denture especially for you. A partial denture may have a metal framework and clasps that connect to your remaining natural teeth, making it secure and stable. Some cases can be designed with Porcelain Crowns on some remaining teeth with precision attachments which a removable partial denture will snap into, with no visible metal clasps and a lot more retention. Over 30 years of experience in this highly technical field will assure you of excellent results you will be happy with.
