TMJ and Occlusion

TMJ is the temporomandibular joint (your jaw joint) and TMD (dysfunction) refers to a group of related disorders associated with the TMJ, and the surrounding muscles, ligaments and tendons.

A person may suffer from headaches, muscle pain, locked jaws, or just popping and clicking sounds. Dr. Deegan can diagnose the source of the problem. Treatments can include occlusal orthotics (a jaw repositioning device), physical therapy, medications, Botox and trigger point injections.
