TEETH in a DAY: You can go from bad hopeless teeth to permanent new teeth on the same day! Yes it is possible! Dr. Deegan takes impressions and bite registrations to make an immediate denture a couple of weeks before surgery day. On the day of surgery , the surgeon extracts all the remaining teeth, reshapes or grafts the bone as necessary, and places 4-8 implants. In most cases, Dr. Deegan is able to attach the denture teeth to the implants on the same day. So you leave with your teeth screwed into the implants, never having to wear a removable denture. You will be asked to stick to a softer diet in the initial stages of healing. These transitional teeth will be worn for a few months, and when the bone and gums are fully healed, a new and permanent bridge is made on the implants. The final set of dentures is made from either econonical, porcelain, e-max, or zirconia teeth, each with varying properties and costs. Dr. Deegan can help you decide which is right for you.
ALL-0n-FOUR: ALL –on-4 : If you’ve been told before that you don’t have enough bone in the back of your jaws for implants, the ALL-ON-4 treatment option may be right for you. Patients with less than ideal bone structure can get 4 implants placed at a specific angulation which can support 8 to ten teeth on an arch , often without complex and costly bone grafting. Reducing the number of implants that are used also reduces the cost of the prosthetic. Most often the patient gets their teeth screwed into the implants the same day that the implants are surgically placed as in TEETH-IN-A-DAY.
